Equipment

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Sauce Pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 2-3 Jars and lids
  • 1 Immersion blender or regular blender

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 Juice of one lemon
  • 1/2 cup Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Wash strawberries
  • Chop strawberries into 1/4-inch pieces
  • Add strawberries, juice of one lemon, and sugar to a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Using an immersion blender or regular blender puree the mixture to desired consistency.
  • Continue to simmer for 15 minutes. The mixture should thicken to a jam-like consistency.
  • Transfer to jars using a spatula
  • Allow the strawberry jam/ jelly to cool.
  • Store in refrigerator for 4 weeks or freezer for up to 6 months
