Mango Jam/ Jelly Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 Juice of one lemon

Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 2-3 Jars with lids
  • 1 Immersion blender or regular blender
  • 1 Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Wash, peel, and core mangos
  2. Chop mangos into 1/4-inch pieces
  3. Add lemon juice, sugar, and mango chunks to a saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Use an immersion blender or standard blender to puree the jam to desired your consistency.
  7. Simmer for 15 minutes more minutes on meduim/ low heat. The mixture should thicken to a jam-like consistency.
  8. Transfer to jars using a spatula
  9. Allow the strawberry jam/ jelly to cool.
  10. Jam can be stored in the fridge for a month or frozen for up to 6 months
